For the Chai cookies you will need:

200 g Sugar
170 g Softened butter
1 Egg
2 Tablespoon Backing powder
120 g Maple syrup
280 g Flour

Preparation

  • Total time: 1 h 25 MIN

Step by step:

1. In a bowl, beat the sugar and butter together until the mixture is smooth.
2. Add the egg, baking powder, maple syrup, flour, and chai powder. Mix everything well until the dough is uniform.
3. Cover the bowl and chill the dough in the fridge for about 1 hour.
4. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) with both top and bottom heat.
5. Remove the dough from the fridge and roll it into 2.5 cm balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
6. Bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes.
7. Let the cookies cool on a wire rack.
